This material dries slowly enough to treat an entire piece of furniture at once, but dries faster than more traditional oils. Penetrates and the character of the wood comes out well, but it took three applications to create an adequate and lasting satin finish. This works great for me, but someone who wants faster build times or more durability might want to use Osmo Polyx oil. clean by itself for the third and final layer. It was a combination of veneer and solid walnut used in media crates. I'm not sure how this stuff will work in a bathroom or kitchen.
