I made this for use with my turntable, not for a regular portable ion cannon. Didn't cost much more and is much more reliable. Even recordings with extreme static charges are neutralized in a few seconds. It's not the best solution for some people, but it gets the job done and seems to release quite a lot of ions. This loses a star because there is no ion output level control separate from the fan (it is unknown if fan speed also controls ion output level) and because the ionizing tip cleaning brush does not come into contact with all tips.
