You will hate this thing if you know how a decent keyboard feels. Mechanical keyboards may have spoiled me, but when I went shopping for an ergonomic board for those days when my wrists don't want to play nice, I decided I would go for something a little cheaper. My budget was sub-$60, and I figured there would be a lot of compact options for that price. There aren't. There are some decent full-size options. I've tried them in person at sores, but I wanted something that would also prevent reaching, so a 65%, 60%, or 75% is what I had in mind. This keyboard looks like it fits the bill, but the switches are awful. Look, I didn't go into it expecting mechanical switches or even high-quality scissors, but I thought maybe heavy presses wouldn't be required on a board made to relieve wrist strain. I thought if you hit any of these oversize keys anywhere on the keycap it would be registered. I was wrong. This keyboard is really hard to type on. The design is okay, but cheapening out on the membrane switches ruins it. It isn't that I just have a problem with membrane switches. The full-size big brother is much better, and it is also membrane. I have a previous gen model but it is too big for my home office desk.Eventually, I found exactly what I desired, but it took some modification to get it to work. Perixx, the same company that makes this board I hate so much, also makes (or resells since a few other companies have identical versions) a little folding ergo board with decent, if slightly hard, scissor switches, the PERIBOARD-805E. There are a few funny-sized small keys but everything you need is on the board somewhere. I flipped over the original case from a modded 60% mechanical and attached the PERIBOARD-805E to the top (used to be the base) with nano tape. Since it folds backward as well, I was able to build some tenting into my setup, improving its ergos. I then attached the case to a $12 Reddragon wrist rest, so now my wrist rest is soft. Bonus!So that was a lot to say, don't buy this one. Unless you are not picky at all, almost all other options are going to be better.
