I've had IBS all my life and I wanted to wear a dress or something, but I also wanted to have friends and partners, so I wore normal clothes. Now that I'm old enough to give up both and still exist, I was looking for something similar and on my friend's recommendation I searched for thobes. I'm not Arab (East Asian) and my friend told me it's not cultural appropriation so I got one. I liked my first one so much that I bought two more colors. They actually like friends of both sexes too, and that's most likely true since they can't stand my personality. Pros: 1. I'm 5'9/10, 135 pounds and skinny. Size small fits perfectly.2. convenient and large pockets3. excellent breathable fabric 4. If you live in the New York/New Jersey area, I've done you a favor by starting the trend by being the harbinger of these comfy clothes. Jump without much fear of people staring at you like you're crazy. I mean, some will still be, but you're comfortable and don't have to stand around while gliding through the streets, houses, or whatever. The colors are dense enough to hide the underwear. Disadvantages: 1. The throat cuts deeply. lateral cracks quite high. so I pinned them securely. I have to sew two, which I got after the first one, but I'm too lazy. I made my first one and it's great.2. I had medium to below average shoulders and this will suit people with broader shoulders but doesn't affect the look. Not that I wanted to look trendy, but it works surprisingly well.3. If you get on the subway and cross your legs, make sure you don't show people your underwear. Being a woman and wearing a dress/skirt must suck with constant concern about it, now I can empathize better and I'm sure this understanding will help my game4. tricky bathroom game
