Discard the plastic tie that came with the lamp.

I have an adjustable desk lamp arm and a microphone arm with cheap plastic clips. It was inevitable that they would break. It was predictable that I would try to fix them with epoxy. , grip tighter and stay in place with the handle on the clip. That's exactly what I wanted.
