Bought for my girlfriend so she can reach the high shelf. For environmental reasons, I preferred the wooden stool to the plastic one. Assembling this stool was a little tricky as screwing it on was quite a hassle but worth it as it turned out to be very solid which is important considering it is a stool. Anything in the middle is smart because you can easily pick them up from the center of mass. It's heavy enough not to be moved around a lot, and the included soft stickers make it safe to use on hardwood floors as it doesn't scratch or make noise when you move it. I'm happy with that
