I bought it back in the summer of 2018. I use it in my car for my phone's GPS on the dashboard (photo attached). After several years of sitting on the dash, it still holds up with no issues. Once I moved it because I wanted a better place. Of course, when the inside is hot from the summer sun, the glue will soften, but when it cools down, everything will return to normal. I used to live in the Central Valley, where it can get very hot in the summer. This is not an error. Just don't put it on a vertical or "wall" surface, otherwise gravity will be stronger when you put your phone on it. What I have in my photos is how it should be used. Also, the black metal has turned a pinkish brown color over time which looks cool. Purely cosmetic item. Just to note here: it's a magnet. So I slipped another magnetic piece into my phone case without using any glue so it just sits in the phone case. I didn't put glue on my phone to attach it to the magnetic part and it still holds.
