Review on Large Gray Coffee Gator Stainless Steel Grounds and Beans Canister with Measuring Scoop, CO2-Release Valve, Date-Tracker by Rosa Hughes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Container cannot be cleaned properly due to CO2 valve

Container looks good and looks high quality. However, the instructions state that it must not be submerged in water to clean it as this could damage the CO2 valve in the lid! The CO2 valve as well as the date reminder associated with the valve are extremely useless additions to this beautiful container. The instructions recommend wiping with a damp cloth, which I find totally unacceptable for an industrial food storage product made in China. I want to clean it thoroughly with soap, water and lots of water until I feel like it's free of contaminants. I recommend you do the same or find another quality container that doesn't come with a useless CO2 valve. I wonder how many people know how the CO2 valve works? How many times have you heard of coffee canister explosions due to CO2 buildup? So why do you need a valve? UPDATED: I have upgraded my review to five stars due to the exceptional response from the supplier. I have also researched the market and there is no one making similar or better containers without a CO2 valve. Hopefully manufacturers will produce the same quality canister without the useless valve as an option. In the meantime, if you already have a container, you can open the valve, wash the container with soap and water, and put the valve back in place.
