I bought this about a year ago and just got to the review so maybe they changed the design since then. But I put mine on a chair to hold the trackball and while it worked pretty well for the first few days, it broke pretty quickly. But I moved it several times a day, I think you should position it and leave it alone. Overall it makes a good quality impression. The arm itself is very stiff, which can be bad for your case. It was uncomfortable to get the right position/shape. But I would like to buy something else from the same company. Like I said, it broke after a week.
