Although the quick release buckle is on the back (where someone other than you can open it), this sling is perfect for long trips. I used it for a day trip to Epcot and the Magic Kingdom and it balances the weight of the camera and telephoto lens just perfectly. Made for a very pleasant day. I read other reviews about the quick release buckle and used a zip tie for added security. The tether included in the kit was also added protection and was small enough to not get in the way. I don't think it's strictly necessary as the FastenR fits very well. I checked it about every thirty minutes and it was always secure with no sign of loosening. The ConnectR carabiner and gate lock are high quality items. Shooting was great and the sling never came off my shoulder. Very impressive. I would like BlackRapid to consider removing the quick release buckle entirely, but this will not affect the functionality of the strap in any way.
