I can't tell you about the durability of these lights. I can tell you that they provide bright light under cabinets, side panels in cabinets and under shelves. Some reviewers have noted that it is "just" a focused light. I don't know what you were expecting, maybe room light? There are a few dark spots in my house and these faucets provide the missing light. They are very easy to put on and take off. They also withstand the high humidity in Houston. I immediately ordered another set. I think the price is a bit high but then you get what you pay for. I will update when I have them longer. So far I recommend this product. A month later: I still like them and they're as good as anything I've bought. However, one appears brighter than the other five. They serve the atmosphere. As far as reading guides and the like go, I still need to dig deeper into the paper. So if you want to highlight an object or area, you won't be disappointed. Update: three months later. The dog and I heard something crack, we looked and looked. The next day I found a lightbulb on the counter. After 10 days another light fell. Luckily I had glue dots on hand. Holds up well. Also, I didn't change the batteries and the lights didn't dim a bit. Recommend them anyway and buy again when the price goes down.
