The piggy pen is awful and everything gets too hot
I thought it was the cutest thing but it's a headache to use. The pig's handle is recessed, making it impossible to grab it with an oven mitt (everything gets very hot. Good for bacon, but not for me). between parties. The pig's grip doesn't fit well and keeps coming loose. My husband tried gluing it (superbly) but it didn't last long between cooking and the dishwasher. I can't take it anymore and went online to find something better, culinary, it makes great bacon. Takes about 3 minutes. TIP: Place a paper towel under the raw bacon before cooking.
