This K&H Pet Products foldable pet ladder with storage compartment is lightweight and easy to assemble. At the same time, it's not a particularly strong or stable feeling. Our previous dog had cancer and had his right hind leg amputated. He couldn't stand on our bed anymore. My husband built him steps out of plywood with carpeting to soften them. They are very strong, but it's easy to trip! We received this new product hoping to replace our wooden steps. Unfortunately, only one of our three rescuers feels comfortable with this new ladder. She has the lightest weight (about 13 pounds) and the fewest fears. The rest, heavier and more anxious, are interested in these steps. They don't seem that strong to me or to the dogs. They just don't exist. So if you have a small dog or cat weighing less than 15 pounds, they might be fine. I do not recommend them for large animals. Also, they are quite expensive due to the cheap material they are made of.
