My father, a WWII veteran, was interviewed by Hometown Heroes Radio so I have a recording of his voice so I can still hear him even though he died in 2017. I came up with the idea of recording my mom telling the story of our family history so it won't be lost for the future + I will still have a recording of her voice to listen to after she leaves because I think when our loved ones leave we can forget how they sounded. I wish I would have done this with my grandparents when they were still here. Of course I cry when I hear my father's voice, but at the same time it's reassuring. I think that's a good idea for everyone. not me
