I chose this for my daughter based on the looks and the price (when I bought it it was the cheapest 3rd party wired controller). no gaps and during gameplay it seems quite durable. I believe it will work well with children. The controller itself has an X-input, just like the official Xbox One controller, meaning it's instantly plug-and-play with no setup required. The only downside is the analog controller's dead zone, which is quite large but not too bad for casual gaming. All in all a good choice for a cheap X-Input controller. My daughter loves it so much.
