I bought a size smaller. I'm short, 5ft, 116lbs, usually a size 4 (or size 27 in the new size) in US size jeans. They are very soft, comfortable and light. The length hits me just below the calf which feels a little uncomfortable and makes them tight on the knees when walking, but I just pull them up so the elastic cuffs sit over the calves under the knees to correct this and they to keep loose while walking. .
