Review on Casio G-Shock GW-5000-1JF Multi Band 6 - Made in Japan by April Simpson

Why is it worth your money?

This is definitely not the cheapest watch with these features. If you want the cheapest watch with 200m water resistance, shock resistance, atomic solar power and all the other G-Shock benefits, I would recommend the GWM5610-1. It's the same watch for about a third of that price. However, if you can afford it and want a watch with better build quality, opt for a Japanese-made G-Shock with a much softer urethane strap that makes the watch comfortable to wear. . Another difference between the two watches is the case. The outside of both watches is made of resin, but the inside of the GWM5610-1 is made of plastic, while the inside of the GW5000-1jf is made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is also coated with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon), which basically means it's more scratch resistant. It also means the watch is likely to last longer than its plastic counterpart. So why G-Shock? Let's compare this watch to a $1,000 mechanical/automatic watch. You're likely to get a watch every day that's accurate to +/- 4-5 seconds, has a water resistance of 100m, a chronograph if you're lucky, and a watch that you have to service every 5 years. What do we get from G-Shock for $320? Watch Accuracy Less Than 1 Second Per Day (+-15 Seconds Per Month), 200M Water Resistance, Shock Resistance, Chronograph, World Time, Alarm, Stopwatch, Atomic Time Sync (Synchronized Daily To Keep The Clock Accurate With The Atomic Tower), Power Solar Powered and maintenance-free (batteries may need to be replaced every 10-15 years). If I had to choose between a bulky, expensive watch or a feature-rich, easy-to-read, shock-resistant tank, I would choose a ladder. So is this watch worth it? If you want G-Shock but don't want to spend a lot of money, buy the GWM5610-1. If you like G-Shocks and want the best quality, go for the GW5000-1jf. TLDR: - Stainless steel inner (DLC coating) - High quality resin - Made in Japan - Softer and more comfortable urethane strap - Longer durability
