I've only been using it for about a week and just had time to charge and test it. As long as they work properly. I'm not quite sure about the detection range of the motion detector, but it definitely works. I have other moving lights in different locations and they are by far the brightest. However if you don't want the brightest light there are 2 other brightness settings and the remote control allows you to manually dim or brighten the light to your liking. One remote works for all three lights so you can place them in a few spots and use the remote for each, or use one or two with the remote and hang the rest just to detect movement. They seem to sense if the room is light or dark, so they don't turn on when the light isn't needed. The magnetic suspension makes it easy to remove at the right time for charging. The only negative is that they don't seem to have a persistent mode even when used remotely and they turn off. So if you're just looking for a motion sensor with selectable backlight brightness, this is the perfect option. But for an under-cabinet lamp that stays on, this isn't for you. I will use mine in my closets where I only need the light for a short time so they are great for that. They appear to be well made and the seller has been contacted via email to ensure I am happy with the product and to get in touch if I am not. It's nice to know that someone stands behind their product and provides good customer service.
