From what I've read these NVME drives get hot so I don't know if the case can be blamed, but it gets too hot to touch (see pic with 155F == 69C) if I cloned the disk to one drive and wrote files to another). The case is made of aluminum alloy, which dissipates heat, but as we said, gets hot. In terms of performance, the case seems to live up to the specs. I got about 950 MB/s, which is pretty close to USB 3.1's theoretical maximum (10 Gb/s == 1250 MB/s). As of 12/6/20 I am giving it a 4 as it works well and subtracting 1 for heat. If anyone could convince me that this is normal I would say it's 5. I may update this later if I use it for a while.
