Review on 🍽️ Tall Microwave Plate Cover – Transparent and Residue-Free Design by Ryan Brunson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It was probably made to cover the cake.

has been damaged. not a microwave squirt lid, that's what I use it for. It's too heavy to be a good frosting lid and requires two hands to lift, as the slippery indentation at the top is practically useless and the tiny, resealable opening is exactly what a pie topper should be. Like all true squirt lids on the market, this impostor is too large in diameter to fit directly into the dinner plate and not large enough to sit on the outside of the plate. Mine arrived without a horrible, impossible to remove label, but for those who received a label I would recommend using a hair dryer based on my own years of experience removing glass lids and car stickers. A company smart enough to develop a set of 3 squirt lids in 3 different diameters that are lightweight, have a comfortable top handle, have plenty of vents and all 3 lids are high enough to clean food that's on a plate or a bowl - this company could sell endless splatter covers and get great reviews. Years ago I had a nice splash cap that I got free with a frozen dinner or maybe a takeout order. But unfortunately my pup grabbed it and chewed it. Who knew I couldn't just buy a satisfactory replacement for it!? For my own solution, I sacrificed an old lightweight bowl to make a usable microwave squirt lid by drilling vent holes around the bottom. Turned over, it covers tall dishes and sits directly on top of the rotating glass and on the outside of small plates and bowls.
