Bought this to replace a LG Tone Active headset which after 3 years of good use decided it was time to retire and only work when she wanted to. However, I still need a fully-fledged headset that can only be used for telephoning. I HATE headphones and have never used them for tone. I also don't use a headset to listen to music; The clarity of the telephone calls is my top priority. I first bought another neckband speaker, also for about $100, which worked fine when making calls, but returned it when I found (after purchase, in the instructions) that it was spinning on its own. turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity and I need one that stays on until I turn it off. Also, it was extremely heavy and could not stay "dressed" around my neck. I kept searching based on reviews and reader ratings and decided to give it a try. After spending over $100 on the Tone 3 years ago I wasn't sure if it would work at a much lower price (although without the headphones) or if it would work as well. I used it all day and was pleasantly surprised. Pros: Battery life seems very good at this point. It's very easy; To the point where I don't feel it anymore. The sound clarity is very good. On every phone call today (probably 6) I asked each person if they could hear and understand me well and explained that I was testing a new Bluetooth headset. Only 1 person reported hearing problems. Others commented on how well they heard me. Although there's no rubberized piece on the back (for grip), it doesn't seem to move while I'm wearing it, no matter how much I turn my head. Cons: It's all plastic (not a rubberized part like many others). So I was a little hesitant to stretch it to put it around my neck. However, it looks like if you need a little 'bang for the buck' to keep going, it's okay. The charging port is in a bad spot (at the bottom of the device) so it either sits crooked when charging or has to be turned upside down. The port cover comes off easily enough (and stays attached), but doesn't give you much room to insert a plug. The control buttons work, but have proven to be finicky. Once you figure out what the vaguely described "multifunction" button actually does and get to your selection, it will do what it's supposed to. The volume button only controls the volume of your phone; It doesn't have an independent volume like Tone, so it sounds as loud as a phone (in the speaker). I may update this over time but for now I believe I've found a replacement for the audio without having to pay that price again.
