these are almost exactly what I was hoping for. They are kind of like short leggings – not loose like shorts. Comfortable, modest, attractive things for swimming and kayaking.I got the drawstring type so they don’t fall down in the surf. They do have underwear built-in, and it’s very hard for me to find the panty line. The fabric is really thin, not like neoprene. That’s what I want, so they will dry quickly and be late.I have not tried them in the water yet, but they seem like exactly what I wanted.The only thing I don’t care for is that they are not as long wasted as I am. I thought they would come to my natural waist, but they really sit just above the hip and below my belly button unless I really pull them up in an awkward way. That will be a "live with", as I will be wearing them with a rash guard anyway, so no one will see, but they aren’t as comfortable or flattering as I had hoped. It will do.In case it helps anyone, my current measurements are:— height 5‘7"— weight 197 (bottom heavy)— bust 42 inches— waist 37 inches— hips 46 inches
