After initial unboxing and testing, the lights appear to be of great design and showing potential. Installing the fog lights on the Ram 1500 is very simple, just three screws and an electrical connector. I swapped them out in RAM and hooked them up in about 15 minutes. At first I was happy because the messed up wires in the plug wasn't a problem for me, hopefully this has been fixed by the manufacturer and won't be a problem anymore. After scanning out from under the truck, I noticed that about 3/4 of the inner stack of LED modules are inside the bumper cover on either side and are not projecting any light onto the road. I was very frustrated and dissatisfied with this and after doing some research I found that I'm not the only one having this issue. As a solution, I replaced the bracket that came with these lights with a bracket from my factory lights. The locator buttons on the factory case are NOT the same as those on this product, so it was not plug and play connected. After some design and fabrication, I found a solution that worked for installing new lights in factory mounts. I reinstalled the headlights and now they were properly aligned and all the modules were protruding through the hole as intended. I connected the DRL to the ignition circuit (the cigarette lighter socket in my 2016 Ram) and checked everything. It all worked fine and as the sun went down I adjusted the light. Overall I'm happy with this purchase, but it took a lot of work that would probably be beyond the capabilities of the average user. If you require plug and play functionality I would not recommend this product. If you like messing around and fixing things, you will definitely get your chance with them. Once properly installed they are nice and bright and look great as DRLs.
