. I got right there and caught it before it hit the ground and now I don't risk leaving my iPad on the stand without a mount. I was going to use it in bed while recovering from surgery but I am in temporary pain and cannot use this stand while the bed is upright. The description says it will slip between the mattress and the springs, which doesn't work for my type of bed, so I have to leave it on the floor. Can't say I don't like it, but it wasn't what I expected. and I'm not sure if it will last long. The slide arm is held in place by a screw that you loosen to move the arm up and down, and I've found it increasingly difficult to keep it in one spot. Also, I have an Apple iPad Pro 12.9 and must keep the iPad in a case or it will slip out of my hands and your iPad will fall to the ground if left in an upright position unattended.
