It's just your lover's disembodied hand. At least they don't complain and don't try to readjust!

Let's talk about train travel. I love taking the train from Florida to New York. Inexpensive, spacious and unique. My only problem was that I slept without waking up every 30 minutes. You can get an hour or two if you lean against the window and get your pillow right, but this is in a perfect world folks, the travel gods won't be so kind. If you get an aisle seat, you have nothing to lean on, leaving you with a sore neck after your head hits the rails with every sudden movement. That's the problem, my friends, and Travelrest is the solution! I know the shape is questionable, the design seems like the simplest of all basics and you seem to be relying on a flimsy rope strap, but my goodness when it doesn't work perfectly I get through the night with no pain or stiffness in my back slept through or neck. The idea is simple, as I said about the window above, it is important that the window and the pillow are together. The cord holds the pillow firmly in the crook of the neck and prevents it from swinging or sliding while the head is resting on it. When deflated and folded, it is small enough to fit in a pocket or small carry-on luggage. Even with the additional velor and memory foam sleeve (which I bought separately) it's still a small package. Not to mention there's nothing behind your head to push it forward, unlike most neck pillows. If you're having trouble sleeping on long drives and nothing gets in the way, make up for it right away and fix it. Worth every penny and more, even the extra cost for the case.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Mostly ok, but...
