We've only had them a week and haven't used them kayaking on the river like we intend to do with them; But so far they're great. My daughter's feet are usually between 4 and 4.5. I was worried about getting her a size 4. However, they fit great! Velcro straps make it a bit adjustable so I think she could manage even if she was a size 5. I bought a size 5 in other shoes that don't have adjustable straps and they were VERY large. She wears them in our little paddling pool because the rocks curve a bit in the driveway. They double as her sandals as she almost never takes them off. They are great for running in the garden. I like the finger guard. She is very active and walks most of the day. She says they are comfortable and don't feel heavy while swimming. All in all I would buy them again. I'll update when we enter the river.
