What attracted me to this product was the tray as others didn't have one. This was a disappointment as it is vinyl and fabric. This is a child's food tray, which means it should be treated like their plate. You can wipe it, but you can't wash it like a plate. You can try if you want but the inside is most likely cardboard (very flimsy, my 11 month old would bend over and break it if not returned) and damage the tray. I was embarrassed giving it to my son the first time without washing it (just wiped it down) then when I tried to wipe it down after use I found there was food particles between the closing vinyl and also on the stitched one cloth caught. It gets gross very quickly.
