While it doesn't specifically state that the catalyst is compatible with the Dremel Universal handpiece, it does say that the handpiece is compatible, which leads me to believe the catalyst would be compatible as well . The tip fits well on the Dremel Catalyst, but the Catalyst provided does not fit. I was able to use this catalyst with a dremel as I had extra parts. You can use a step drill to widen the metal flame arrester/catalyst holder on the dremel a bit, after that it will fit. Do not purchase a catalytic converter for use with your Dremel unless you have an additional flame arrestor/catalytic converter that you wish to modify. Overall it appears to be of the same quality and costs less than just a Dremel brand handpiece.
