Review on Pimpernel 2010648728 Placemats Multicolor by David Burns

Beautiful hard cork backed napkins with "wood " pattern

This is my second set of Pimpernel napkins and so far I love them! They are easy to clean and have a good thickness. The cork backing prevents damage to the table as long as it doesn't chip or warp. I don't use them as saucepans and such (they aren't designed for that) but they are heat resistant and I put my plates on them straight from the microwave. They have a very beautiful pattern, similar to plaited wood (not "jute" as the name incorrectly suggests). They're a little redder than they looked on the internet - more like cherry wood than walnut - but still beautiful. I love that they don't wrinkle like most wipes that need to be ironed and that they are so easy to keep clean. I just wipe them off with a damp soapy cloth.

Pros
  • Cork
Cons
