I bought this for my 5 year old before going to Disneyland so I wouldn't have to pay $30 for Mickey's ears at Disneyland. I had trouble finding something that would fit as most children's hats are designed for toddlers with a head size up to 53 inches, which is just the right size for my son's head. They would probably fit him now but I wanted to buy a hat he could wear for future trips as well. I let him choose between this hat and some of the long-eared, long-billed blunt/plutonian hats, and he chose this one because it had Mickey ears. He was very happy about it, but I have to say that he only wore it about half the trip. Although he doesn't always wear hats at home, that might have been a factor. For that reason alone, I'm glad I bought this hat rather than paying a high price for one that he wouldn't wear all the time. The quality is good too.
