I originally bought this for my sister after she was in a car accident. I also wanted to try my anime pillowcases on it. My sister's accident was terrible and now we can't afford to buy a new mattress to help her recover. So I wanted her to at least have a better back brace and that's why I bought her this. It's quite difficult to ignore the smell coming from the pillow. It doesn't look like there is a smell in the room, which is a good thing. but it smells strongly of detergent. The fluff is a bit heavy. But once you start fluffing it up in the dryer, it will expand on its own. I personally like it because I sleep on my stomach and sleep like a bear after putting pillowcases on it. *For any anime fan planning to get it, be aware that this is not the right size for an official anime pillowcase. It can get too tight on the sides and not touching at both ends. Which I find annoying because you are paying for an expensive body pillowcase that fits the pillow. * Also, I love the pillow. It is vacuum sealed when you receive it. my sister loves it. it brought her to tears. I'll probably get a bigger one for my nerdy self.
