As we have transitioned more and more to cooking in cast iron pots, on the stovetop and in a 450 degree oven, we have found that our current trivets do that can not . We love our teak coasters, they are beautifully smooth, look good and prevent table markings. But they also don't handle very hot objects. This cast iron coaster has a beautiful infinity circle design, is sturdy enough and has rubber boots to not leave a mark on the table. It's a great idea to include two extra boots as they wear out, dry out and then the table suffers. I have included an image showing the different coasters and their respective sizes.
