The only real issue I have with this item is that I find it difficult to fully utilize the Baofeng UV-5R radio that I own. It's easy to plug into the radio at first, but it takes quite a bit of effort to fully connect. This leads me to some concerns about programmer longevity in connections. It currently gets 5 stars because it works as advertised and allows me to program the UV-5R without a computer or cables. This makes the operation without confusion. The application is quite simple in interface. It would be nice to have an actual guide on how to set up channels and features in the app, but that's a not insurmountable obstacle. Are there areas for program improvement? Absolutely, but it still works well, and anything new will have growth issues as it gets better.
