Review on Babymoon Neck Support Pillow - Ivory, for Flat Head Syndrome by Tim Jolivette

Revainrating 4 out of 5

although they do not recommend it for safety reasons

I've only been using this pillow with my son for a few weeks but I can hardly see or feel any difference. He was 4.5 months old when we started using him. He is now five months and a few days old. We use it every time he's on his back and also to sleep, although they don't recommend it for safety reasons. However, I will say that my son's crib is right next to my bed and I am the EASIEST SLEEPING LIVE. Seriously, if he exhales any deeper than usual I'll wake up, so I feel good using it. I should also mention that he sleeps through the night around 9am. So we decided to try it while sleeping. Now my son had a very bad flat spot on the back of his head. His pediatrician decided that we should consult a pediatric plastic surgeon to get him a helmet. As some other reviewers have commented; I also read studies on the effectiveness of helmets. I figured the best thing would be to try this pillow along with a gradual prone elevation and then a consultation at the end of the month. So we have about a month to try and fix it ourselves before deciding if we need a helmet. While we had the pillow, we noticed that his head was beginning to round out and the flat spot wasn't as noticeable as it was at first. Happy to report we will continue to use it as I see results. I will update this review with before and after photos in a few weeks. I only rated the pillow 4 stars because I think the price should be lower.
