I have tried several brands. My beard is close to my face ie It's a thick beard but trimmed to the face - it's not long. Albeit almost invincible. It's hard to keep my beard clean. it's the only thing that works. every other brand hydrated and softened, but this brand allowed me to brush my beard and leave my hair where I put it. A good thing.
