I'm 5'1 155lbs postpartum and had to squeeze into the XL/2xl i also got the M/L and the difference between the two is less than half an inch! I'm more than confident I will loose some more weight and they may fit a bit more comfortable within the next few weeks as I am only 2 weeks PP. I bought these because I got a csection and the undies hurt my incision. These help compress a bit, but not as much as a girdle.
