I really like this scratching post. The style is simple, modern and very stable. The tension rod is very effective and stabilizes the tree very well, holds up well when my cat jumps up and down the tree. The tree was very easy to put together, the parts are labeled with letters making it easy to follow the instructions, it came with all the tools needed (no extra tools needed) and extra screws which are great in case we lose one. The only downside is that the screws are not labeled on the box but on the instructions which can complicate things a bit, but it's pretty easy to guess by comparing the screw to the pictures. The cat likes the tree and gradually begins to explore it more. Definitely a great purchase, 100% recommended Notes: The box it arrives in is very heavy, it would be helpful to have an extra pair of hands to move the box. Ideal for apartments
