The video quality is mediocre. Not clear enough to make out a person's facial features when they're across the room. Motion detection doesn't work. I set it to motion detection and it seems to fire randomly throughout the day and record non-stop for about 6 hours each day. He never filmed at night so either the night vision doesn't work or the motion detection works at night. But it is easy to assemble despite the bad instructions. I haven't tried it as a charger yet. But as a watchdog, it fails.
