Affordable watersports fun

We bought this for our first trip to the tropics where we knew there would be plenty of water activities. We were either in the pools or the sea the whole time - so this camera got used quite a bit! We bought these because we didn't want to spend a lot on an underwater camera that we might rarely use and we didn't want to worry about it falling or breaking. We used this camera with 35mm Superia X-TRA 400 from Fuifilm. We bought 4 packs of 96 frames. I am by no means an experienced photographer. When we entered the sea, I photographed everything. Something close, something far away, something with a flash, something not. We also took above water photos and selfies. I wasn't sure what would work so I decided to try everything and it will be a fun surprise when we get back from vacation. We had over 30 photos that really came out a little clearer. Some are better than others. I wish I could tell which methods worked best, but I have no idea. I will say that those over water or with objects closer to the camera were really a lot clearer. Speaking of quality, at some point I threw the camera into the sea. We were probably 4 feet down when we lost the camera and it was probably a good 10 minutes before I realized it was off my wrist. We looked around near where we were swimming and he was nowhere to be seen. After about 20 minutes our friends walking along the shore found a random camera in the sand - it was ours! No external damage has occurred and the hull is still watertight. We've had it on two tropical trips - it's held up with honors in Jamaica and the Mayan Riviera. If you're looking for professional-quality photos, this camera probably isn't for you. But just for fun and an affordable way to capture memories - it was great! In the first picture you can see the fish, in the second the wreck of the ship.
