This wedge is probably as good as any in this low price range. It does the job. Not too hard or too soft. I have a thick foam mattress and I put this wedge under the mattress to elevate my torso. I sleep on my side and have found using wedges this way much more comfortable than sleeping directly on them. A common complaint about all brands of wedges based on the reviews I've read is that they are thinner than advertised. for example, it is a wedge that is 10 inches long and only 8.5 inches thick. People who buy 8" wedges sometimes write in their reviews that their wedges are only 5" or 6" thick. I would say this wedge is the perfect thickness for what I use it for. 5 inches is not thick enough and 10 or 12" can be too uncomfortable to sleep on, especially if you sleep on your side. It takes some time to get used to sleeping on a wedge and it's not the wedge's fault at first I liked it. I had hip pain the first few nights. Now after a couple of weeks I've adjusted and I really like it. It was a good purchase. If this ever wears out I'm pretty sure I'll have one would buy anyone else.Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Good zippered case, my wedge stretches to a wedge shape in hours with no deformation at all, regains its shape after use, great packaging and shipping Cons: It took a few days outdoors, bi s the unpleasant odor was eliminated. And it's not the advertised size of 24 x 24 x 10 inches. It measures 24 x 24 x 8.5 inches no matter how much weight you put on it, but since I put it under the mattress the wedge doesn't pinch it as much.
