Firstly I have deep venous reflux so I have to wear a support tube from sunrise to sunset. I bought these sleeves to avoid Jobst support stockings in hot summer weather. I've been wearing this pair of Sigvaris sleeves for about 3-4 months now and they're starting to fall apart. I first noticed tiny brown fibers on the inside of the stockings and eventually realized that the rubber part of the support structure had failed. As the weeks went by, the tiny fibers expanded in area along with the support they offered. I have always hand washed these compression sleeves and let them air dry. Now, when I look at stockings late in the afternoon, I see bulges in the stockings where my leg swelling is displacing areas that weren't working. Overall I would say they will not last and are not worth the cost. I have Jobst support stockings that I have been wearing for a year or more and while they are probably nearing the end of their useful life, they have never exhibited the structural breakdown that occurs with these stockings after 3-4 months. easy to put on. If they were cheaper I would bother and just throw them away when they break.
