Used for Hat Tie
I bought a hat that originally had a wooden bead to tighten the tie. It didn't hold it in place so I had to hold on to the strap with my hand in high winds. Tried one of these as a spare and it worked great, it holds tight. Tie ties are similar in width to shoelaces and are a fairly smooth material with no textured handle (polyester I guess). It was easy to put on.
