Excellent kite! Bought for a sentimental trip to Lake Michigan, I wanted a simple kite that I knew would not require much skill and not much attention/effort once in the air. This kite was perfect for travel. It (barely) fit in my suitcase and was very, very easy to assemble. I bought a reel and line to use with this kite which will be reviewed separately. At the top the kite was easy and a lot of fun. It was great there: when he got stuck in a tree. Climbing a tree, while seriously considered, was out of the question. There was nothing left but to tear the dragon out of the tree with brute force. We had it attached to a VERY strong reel and line so we took the kite off the tree with no other choice. The plastic rods were flexible enough to withstand such abuse. I honestly thought we would have to separate the spool and treat the kite as a complete loss and a lesson learned, but the kite is back with us to fly another day on another adventure. You will never be too old to experience the thrill of kite flying. This is perfect if you only want to fly a kite occasionally.
