Review on Buwico Portable Gas Stove Burner Head: Ideal for Outdoor Camping and Backpacking with Copper Core Interface, Fire Control Valve, and Storage Bag by Joshua Mejia

Revainrating 4 out of 5

lg. burner head, better for pots and lg. Pots

Happy with this purchase. Good gas burner for the price. The device comes in two parts, lg. Burner head (3.5"+), about 1 1/4" thick. Then the stem, valve and gas fitting part is the second part that screws into the torch head for use (2 1/2 inches). Good layout, making the folded oven more compact. A nice blue bag to fit it in is included. at the burner head starts at 4.5 inches and expands to nearly 7 inches, providing much more stability for larger pots or wide pans. Because the large burner has a higher burn rate and heat output than typical small portable gas camping stoves. While the gas propeller is designed for butane canisters, I recommend purchasing a propane conversion add-on (a range is available from Revain, it also fits comfortably in the stove bag) and use cheaper, higher capacity propane as the fuel source. I guess this stove is going to be expensive (although it burns a little hotter) The controls are simple: assemble, connect to fuel, turn valve, light.. having trouble with my campsite weight lighting. The valve rotates smoothly and has a decent burner power range. I will be using this primarily when car camping and with the propane tanks mentioned, or when cooking for more people such as boiling water for pasta or chili pots, or cooking in a pan where the larger size and support heats wider pans better. . It's a little overkill for light packing, quick heating, or solo use. It's not meant to be very easy, so it's not. The stability of the cooker head itself is good, although this will also depend on what it is attached to as a base.
