I decided to upgrade and purchase an iPad mini 2. The tablet is a bomb now that the iPad mini 2 has come out. Fire in the display: vivid hues and adequate contrast (I don't dial it down to the minimum). The display is superior to that of the iPad mini 2. Playing video games was the primary motivation for me to take it. War Robots, a (very) demanding game, runs well on it, however it freezes up on my iPad mini 2 (and my friend's iPad mini 4). Even when I play for long periods (far longer than on iPad mini 2), the battery life is really good. Functions without pauses or delays. It gets only mildly warm, which is great because excessive heat quickly drains a battery. In theory, it's easy to grip and not too heavy, albeit the tiny is preferable. I was going to buy it, but after seeing how much the screen would set me back (on Ali 9000, it's a fake), how fragile it is, and how quickly the battery would die from playing games, I changed my mind. This tablet meets all of my needs, so I'm happy with it.
