Great printer. I bought it about 8 years ago to take with me on a trip. Before I bought it, we drove to upstate North Carolina and I took a lot of photos. There was no way to see what they would look like until I got home. An absolute disappointment for many. The trip and expenses were largely a waste. Bought a PictureMate while driving inland Tennessee. I was able to see how important photos printed the same day looked, and if the shots were disappointing (unwanted reflections, phone cords, strange people in the picture, etc.) I could go back to the same spot the next day and shoot a new shot. CVS or WalMart may have cheaper prints but can view the photos on paper the same day (don't drive to the store hoping the store tech has calibrated the printer properly while you wait for the "little old man" finished work in the shop). machine, etc.) a printer is worthwhile. I am currently using it to print photos my wife and I took on our trip out west. Having full control over my photos with a permanent printer justifies the additional cost of printing. I also took the printer (with internal battery) to weddings. Presenting photos to the bridal couple right after the wedding ceremony is very valuable, especially when Aunt Margarete, who is 84 and flies home immediately, has something to take with her to show to those around the senior center. And something else. . First I used the printer under Windows 2000. Now it works for me on Windows 8.1. Like many other printer manufacturers, they provide driver support for 6 or 7 different operating system updates.
