They worked well but were so wormy they made me uncomfortable. Have sent them back and received QC20i. Very happy with the headphones. Excellent comfort and sound quality. If you think you can get studio sound at 30,000 feet on an island, you'll be disappointed. But the noise cancellation on both the QC3 and QC20 does a good job of stopping almost all engine roar and can add some very good sound if and when you want it. Comfort is a matter of personal preference. Some people simply prefer one style over another. I can just put on the headset, flick the switch and read while the air conditioner or dishwasher is running and the background noise is almost gone. Also works in the car. The i in QC3i stands for iphone, ipod, ipad, etc. I don't have Apple products, but one day I might get an ipod or iphone. The QC20i works the same way with products from other manufacturers.
