I bought these speakers in July 2011 to install at the back of my house so we can enjoy music on the patio and in the garden. I paid slightly less for them than they are currently listed but I would happily pay the current price as they far exceeded my expectations. We live in Connecticut and the summers can be terribly hot and muggy and the winters can be very cold, snowy and freezing. We never removed the speakers and they show it from the outside, but they still work great. They're not Bose so don't expect better sound quality, but the sound quality is actually good and perfect for what we're using them for. With us there are no rushing parties with booming loud music. We are parents with young children who love hanging out in the garden with friends and family with music playing in the background. and sometimes children and adults dance. :). My husband and I were just talking about how great these speakers are and I realized I never wrote a review for them and here I am. Indeed these are great little floorstanding speakers!
