Review on Galco SB3 32 Dress Belt Tan by Neil Bodell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall I like it, not a bad buy

This wide 1.5 inch rifle sling looks good and is much stronger than any department store sling you can buy. It supports fairly heavy objects with a belt if you tighten it enough. I use it to carry my SIG Sauer P229 both IWB and OWB and I also used it to carry my P226 MK25 with gun light installed. It all fits in my standard pants with belt loops for jeans and cargo pants/shorts, as well as most of my dress pants. In general I like it. I would have preferred the matte finish of the belt buckle to the polished nickel (chrome) buckle that came with it. This only comes with five strap holes spaced about an inch apart. In contrast, my other leather rifle slings (from TheBeltman.net) have seven sling holes spaced about 3/4 inch apart, making them more adjustable. The Beltman product is of much better quality and durability than this Galco belt, and the Beltman also offers a lot more variety, for around the same money (for some models) or a little more (for more exotic models). Both Galco products and TheBeltman.net products are made right here in the USA. Overall I give this Galco belt 3.5 stars out of 5. IMHO not a bad buy.

Pros
  • Made from quality saddle leather with a leather lining
Cons
  • So far so good
