I have two large rag doll cats (about 15 pounds each and still growing). I thought it would be great for everyone. They love to climb up and scratch and fool around and I love how they look compared to the cat apartments we still have because they just couldn't get their spot. You can stick this on the wall but my husband didn't do it. If they scrape and walk like crazy it will shake a bit so check with your partner beforehand or opt to have it fixed before you buy - make sure you have a rental company to ensure this as this is one normal option is you will want to do this, especially if your cats are increasing in size and chasing each other. Sometimes it worries me a little. (For me, lol.) Platforms aren't very big. This will never replace our condo as the condo has large perches to relax on. I can see my boys prefer condos and for the price it was cheaper so that's it. kind of disappointed with this article, not for everyone for the US so please read on. I wish there were more roosts, but the unit is still useful and they can't knock over their big, scratchy turrets anymore. would buy for them on the side, eventually break the bases and spend dollars. I hope they never get by without this *knock on wood* bolted to the wall. The scraper is a hit I'll say. Basically, it scores in its aesthetics. This is a beautiful device that fits into almost any home decor, which is the main reason most people order something like this. The price is higher due to less fun for cats, but it's also "human functional". However, I decided not to leave the apartment as planned. It didn't meet my expectations enough to make it. I like that there is shelving space upstairs but I would have preferred if cats could be taken there if requested. I can see where this can be an issue and that is for the furniture to blend in, but personally I would have preferred to give them more space to run around and relax, but there is no way for them to climb onto the top shelf to let if you want. You can place things there to fit it even more into your home decor, but be careful! If you haven't secured it, don't put anything heavy or fragile on it, as knick-knacks or books, etc. may fall, break, certain items may cause harm to your cat depending on what it is when it falls. I suggest wall mounting this unit, especially in a multi-cat home, and don't risk what you put on the top shelf, period! It's pretty well done. It looks good. It takes a little time to assemble, but of course it's not rocket science. It has its place, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in my situation, certainly not. Whoever can't fix it has a very large cat breed, more than one of these large cat breeds. It just didn't work for us, but it might be perfect for you. I'm giving it 2.5 stars because it might be safer and more beneficial for those who screw up, have regular sized cats and have a medium sized cat or two. That makes the purchase more worthwhile. That being said...some will love it, others won't be as excited as I am, but it looks good and if the platforms were bigger and I could stabilize it it would live up to my expectations a lot better. . But they like the scraper, which is a plus! I'm happy with that aspect of the track, but it really shakes when the guys are energetic, that's for sure. . It's just not ideal for our "cat house".
